How Garment Remodelling Works
Stitch & Style focuses on tailoring and clothing alterations with a strong emphasis on remodelling and upcycling. That means every project begins with an assessment of the garment construction, seam allowances, fabric condition, and the result you want to achieve.
For redesign work, the concept is reviewed before any commitment is made. Some ideas can be achieved using the existing garment, while others may be limited by the available fabric, wear, grain, or structure. Supplementary materials are quoted separately when needed.
Each project starts with a close look at the garment, its fabric, and the fit you want.
From small alterations to full redesigns, every step is shaped by the garment itself.
Our process is designed to keep the scope clear. We move from inquiry and assessment to consultation, quote, approval, and work, then review the fit or finish before collection. At pickup, the garment is checked again so any small final adjustment can be handled carefully.
Original thread and trim matching is used where available, but exact matches are not guaranteed. Care and pressing notes are also provided so the finished piece can be handled properly after collection.
